Description

ST’s Battery and Crystal products are detachable lithium power sources housed in a special top called SNAPHAT®, that are compatible with Serial interface RTC SOH28 package and ST’s nonvolatile TIMEKEEPER® SRAM and Supervisor surface-mount SOH44 (MH) package. The SNAPHAT top contains both the battery and crystal and is designed to be “snapped on” after the SOIC is surface mounted on the PC board. The battery is available in 48mAh or 120mAh capacity and the crystal is a high precision one with 32.768 kHz nominal frequency. This two-piece solution prevents the battery and crystal from being exposed to the high temperatures of the surface mount process.
